as jw's we are asked to be "loyal" to the organization.
all this means is, say "yes" to everything they ask, and believe everything they teach without questioning.. how about the jw organization, are they loyal to their members?
if a brother of sister falls sick, loses a job, becomes invalid, will the jw organization show loyalty to that person and help out?
From what I can see it is a one way street. That was one thing that always bugged me about the borg, they had nothing for their members, no outreach programs, no organized hospice teams, nothing for the children. It was just give, give, give to the borg and when you were used up, tough crap.
And can someone tell me how to get paragraph breaks, I hit return and when I am typing it appears I have a space, but then when I post it all runs together in one big glob.

Oh Zack, that is choice, the WBTS can kiss my mature manhood. I remember asking my mom about that, hey wouldn't it be good for JW's to become professionals, that way they would understand their clients in a way others could not, and help out the org. To which she replied sweetly that if the org needs them God will supply them, but not from within of course. My lot was to be a janitor/carpet cleaner/window washer as I had the privilege of being born into the one true religion. Those less fortunate could go to law or med school then convert and help out. Boy am I glad I didn't listen.

Vicmace, that is a very cool thing, quite a few hetero couples can't make that same claim. I was just curious about how the so called bible based religions that accepted gays worked out the seeming contridiction.

i had always thought that an agnostic was someone who just didn't know if there was a god, etc.
i don't like the above definition though, because though i feel like a rather "spiritual" person, i still feel like i am not sure what really is out there concerning god, religion, the afterlife, etc...but, the above definition just makes an agnostic look like someone who is just plain ignorant and has no hope of anything.
Cathy, I kind of read the definition a little different. It seems to be saying to me that man does not have the capacity to fully know God or first truths or spiritual phenoms. I read it like our physicality and limitations there of keep us from not from knowing God but being able to fully know him. Like the scripture I think that says that no man can look upon God and live. It is saying our humanness limits us in being able to FULLY know God.

And to reiterate, I am just trying to understand the reasoning on that topic. I do not want to get hammered as I am not trying to advocate excluding gays from a bible/christian based religion, I just want to understand the thinking.
